Some Ideas on How to Make Quick Money

Rent coming up soon and you’re short on funds? Have a hospital emergency that insurance didn’t cover? Sudden traffic ticket? You need to know how to make quick money for situations like this.

It’s possible that you’ve considered all the normal options for how to make quick money. You’ve thought about having a yard sale, setting up a lemonade stand, taking on a part-time job, maybe even renting out your parking space. While these ideas work, more or less, there are potentially faster ways of making quick cash.

eBay—Not the fastest option for making emergency money, but you can potentially make more of it while relieving yourself of stuff you don’t need. As this is an auction site, you can change some of the settings to either make more money, or make the money more quickly. Remember, though, the less time your item is posted, the less likely you will be able to sell it.

Craigslist—the proverbial online classified ads. Craigslist is great if you have a clear idea of what you need and have an item that you’re sure can get that price. Craislist will usually speed up the transaction time, since you won’t have to wait for your auction to end, like on eBay. However, since they don’t strictly regulate the transactions that take place on Craigslist, you will possibly have to deal with some haggling.

Etsy.com—Maybe you have a skill like sewing, leather tooling or making stained glass. Etsy.com is a great place to go to sell your arts and crafts. Who knows, you may wind up creating your own cottage industry here. Of course, if things go too well here, you’ll probably want to set up shop on your own domain.
